Words from my Pastor
God of the Miraculous
"Prepare for impact!" was all the pilot told the passengers before making an emergency landing in the Hudson River.Each person on board that flight walked away with unique a story to tell. But I noticed a common thread. When asked what the final moments of the flight were like most passengers said that it was relatively quiet, but you could hear people praying throughout the cabin. In their time of greatest need the people of flight 1549 turned to God for a miracle.It's one thing to hear a great story; it's another to experience it. Only the people on that flight can truly appreciate the "Miracle on the Hudson." Why? Because they lived it.
When the hand of God moves in your life it becomes more than a story . . . it becomes a part of who you are. Think about the moment you came to know Christ. You may not remember the words that were spoken that day - but you'll never forget the feeling of finally surrendering everything to God. The freedom you felt knowing that, through faith, you were now free to begin again.
Perhaps you've experienced other miracles in life - financial breakthrough, physical healing, broken relationships restored, or an answer to a simple prayer that reminded you that God loves you. These moments inspire our faith and remind us that God is near.
Hebrews 13:5 reminds us that God has said: "Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
Be reminded this week that nothing is impossible for God. He is able to move mountains on your behalf. He will deliver you from the depths of discouragement and help you conquer any giant standing in the way of your breakthrough. He is your healer, your provider, and your source of strength. He desires to fill your heart with hope and give you victory according to every promise in His Word.
If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, you can pray a prayer to let Him be savior and Lord of your life. "Lord, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I repent and turn away from my sins and ask you into my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
