Don't Miss Heaven

"For Jesus is the One referred to in the scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone'.

There is salvation in NO ONE ELSE! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." Acts 4:11

I don't want anyone to miss this truth. If you are reading this and want to accept Jesus as your personal Savior, below is a prayer. Pray this prayer with all of your heart and in honesty and you will be saved and have heaven as your eternal home.

"Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. I know my sins deserve to be punished. I believe Christ died for me and rose from the grave. I trust Jesus Christ alone as my Savior. Thank You for the forgiveness and everlasting life I now have, In Jesus' name, amen"

Words from my Pastor

God of the Miraculous

"Prepare for impact!" was all the pilot told the passengers before making an emergency landing in the Hudson River. Each person on board that flight walked away with unique a story to tell. But I noticed a common thread. When asked what the final moments of the flight were like most passengers said that it was relatively quiet, but you could hear people praying throughout the cabin. In their time of greatest need the people of flight 1549 turned to God for a miracle. It's one thing to hear a great story; it's another to experience it. Only the people on that flight can truly appreciate the "Miracle on the Hudson." Why? Because they lived it.
When the hand of God moves in your life it becomes more than a story . . . it becomes a part of who you are. Think about the moment you came to know Christ. You may not remember the words that were spoken that day - but you'll never forget the feeling of finally surrendering everything to God. The freedom you felt knowing that, through faith, you were now free to begin again.
Perhaps you've experienced other miracles in life - financial breakthrough, physical healing, broken relationships restored, or an answer to a simple prayer that reminded you that God loves you. These moments inspire our faith and remind us that God is near.
Hebrews 13:5 reminds us that God has said: "Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
Be reminded this week that nothing is impossible for God. He is able to move mountains on your behalf. He will deliver you from the depths of discouragement and help you conquer any giant standing in the way of your breakthrough. He is your healer, your provider, and your source of strength. He desires to fill your heart with hope and give you victory according to every promise in His Word.

If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, you can pray a prayer to let Him be savior and Lord of your life. "Lord, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I repent and turn away from my sins and ask you into my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Human view

I want to see things from God's view, not merely from a human point of view. We humans think that we see everything and understand our world. But there is a spiritual world that is more real than this one that we can touch. God has big plans for our lives that take faith to see. We can't just figure out things by worldly thoughts. If we ask God to show us different ways of doing things and allow Him to take charge, we can accomplish greater things. God can teach us to dream bigger than the world teaches.

Jesus told Peter "You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God's."
Mark 8:33

This happened when Jesus was telling the people that He must suffer and be killed, then in 3 days rise from the dead. Peter didn't want Jesus saying these things. This is when Jesus told Peter that God has different plans that sometimes we don't understand. I want to walk so closely to Jesus that when things come up in my life that I don't understand, I can be comforted in the fact that God is in control.

Comfort

"The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul." Psalm 121:7

This is a strong promise from God. These days are full of evil everywhere we turn. Meditate on this verse for comfort and peace in your life. We must remember to turn from evil when we see or hear it. These days we can see and hear evil before we know it! A commercial can come on the TV and evil is shouted out.

Content

"I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me strength and power."
Philippians 4:12-13

I want to be able to say this about my life. Because to be content is a goal that everybody wants. But to be content in everything means we have to have faith in God and the help of God.

Change Your Thinking and Change Your Life!

Yesterday our pastor said that when your car is out of control and sliding on ice, you tend to turn the wheel the opposite direction to straighten it out. In fact, you should turn the wheel in the direction of the skid to correct this. He said when opposition comes in our life, we tend to turn away from it. If we learn to turn toward it, God can straighten it out for us and we learn to be stronger. We need to focus on the promises of God and the future goal.

My friend's announcement

I just got an e-mail from my friend who announced that she was"turning off the TV and was going to read good books, listen to inspirational music, and help anyone and everyone to lead a better, more prosperous and healthier life. She said she was officially announcing that she was not participating in the recession."
I wrote her back and said, me too! I told her we have been watching positive, clean movies from NetFlix. We are tired of the news. It can be so twisted to where we don't know what is true. Even the "good guys" at FOX could get wrong information. My friend is a Shaklee distributor, as I am. I, too, want to help people get their health back, or protect their good health.

"But the Lord watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine." Psalm 33:18-19

This isn't a fear as we would fear something or someone on this earth. It is a holy fear, knowing that He holds our future and it will be a good future if we obey Him.
