I am off to watch my grandson play basketball. He is 10 and they are all so cute! It is freezing cold this morning. We will have a nice fire in the fireplace tonight.
Monday a Shaklee friend is coming to stay a few days. We will have meetings and learn things and laugh and talk. I thank God for good, trustworthy friends. They are hard to find. You have to use wisdom in the search for them.

God Bless America
Today Pres. Obama has lifted the ban on government payments for abortion. That means that the government will pay for precious women and girls to have abortions and many will live with this regret for the rest of their lives. I am praying that Obama will come to realize that aabortion is not good for women, their families, or America. Obama has also okayed stem cell research, which involves embryos, which are the start of human life, to be used to help people with spinal injuries and other problems. I pray that his eyes will be opened to the truth of God.
"May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14
As I was growing up, our church as a whole would recite this Psalm at the end of every service. I never really thought about what it meant and how powerful it was until a teacher at church brought it to my attention just this week! It is an excellent prayer in which to start the day. We need to speak in a godly way and think on holy things in our heart. If we do that, our days will mean something and be blessed by God.

Early
It is 4 a.m. and I am up reading and working on my website. I have been wide awake since around 1:30 a.m. I think I am sleepy now and will try to go back to bed. Sometimes when this happens I get a lot accomplished. I would rather have a sleepless night ever once in a while because when it happens, it usually means that the Lord is giving me ideas.
Yesterday started a 40 day challenge that my 3 daughters and I are doing. We each picked something that we need to get accomplished. My goal is to add pages to my website. This is important to me because I feel God lead me to make a website that will help and encourage people.
"Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. My child, listen to Me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life."
Proverbs 4:7 and 10

Pray
Today we get a new president. As Obama is sworn into office, I will be praying for him to serve our country well. I didn't vote for him, and don't agree with his policies, but as a Christian I must pray that his guidance comes from the Lord God Almighty. It is no surprise to God when an official gets elected. God allows everything to happen to fulfil His big plan and purpose.

Monday Morning
Some people dread Monday morning as it means they must get back to work. I look forward to Mondays to get the week started and see what I can accomplish. My daughter's birthday is Sunday and I always reflect on when she was born, remember her growing up, and marvel at how the years passed quickly. She is grown, married, with children now and I am very proud of the women she is. God has blessed me with 3 daughters who are my best friends. We share our hopes and dreams with one another and I am grateful for our good relationships. Well, on to my Monday morning tasks.

Faithful Love
"'For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,' says the Lord, who has mercy on you."
Isaiah 54:10
In these uncertain times, this promise is comforting. I have to meditate on this quite often to realize the love God has for me and for His children. Our Sunday School teacher quoted this scripture this morning. He is reminding us that our hope is not in the economy or the news media which tells us anything they want us to hear. Our trust and hope is in God and eternity.
